Three more additional IGPs sent into forced retirement

The government has sent three additional inspectors general of police (IGP) into forced retirement.

They are Mallick Faqrul Islam, rector (additional IGP) at Police Staff College Bangladesh; YM Belalur Rahman, additional IGP at the Police Telecom; and Selim Md Jahangir, additional IGP at the Police Headquarters. 

The Public Security Division of the home ministry issued three separate notifications in this regard on Wednesday.

According to the notifications, they have been retired from the government service in public interest under Section 45 of the Government Services Act, 2018.  They will get retirement benefits as per the rules. 

This order issued in public interest will come into effect immediately.
