EC publishes updated voter list of 12.36 crore

The Election Commission announced that the total number of voters in the country has risen to 12,36,83,512.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin announced the latest draft voter list on Thursday (January 2).

According to the draft list, the total voter number is 12,36,83,512. Among them, 63,330,103 are males, 60,352,515 are females and 994 are transgenders.

The EC will release the final updated electoral rolls on March 02.

Earlier, the information on eligible voters was collected by visiting door-to-door in 2022.
