Discussions to be held with political parties on `July Declaration`

Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to the Chief Adviser of the interim government said discussion will be held with political parties regarding the July declaration. However, no specific date has been fixed yet.

The press secretary said this while addressing a press briefing at the auditorium of the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Sunday (January 5).

He said that a task force was formed in November to investigate the Sagar-Runi murders. Recently, 25-30 new individuals have been interrogated. The PBI is doing a lot of work. I hope the PBI would do something good, as they are putting in substantial effort.

In reply to a question regarding BTV and BSS, he said there are state-owned media outlets, news agency all over the world. It’s a vital task. State broadcasting has a different requirement.
