2 workers die in city after using ‘gas tablets’ to kill bedbugs

Two workers died in their sleep due to the gas from bed bug repellent in a handbag factory Kamrangirchar in the capital.
The deceased were known as Md Mohon, 12, son of Alauddin, and Abu Bakkar Naim, 21, son of Oziullah.
Kamrangirchar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Amirul Islam said on information, police recovered two bodies from Koylaghat area on Saturday noon. Later, the bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
He said, “On the night of January 3rd, the factory used cockroach repellent in different areas of the room. After having dinner, the two workers closed the doors and windows and went to sleep. The next day, Naim's relative Riaz went to check on him after receiving no response and found them lying on the mattress.”
