Palak, Jyoti shown arrested in corruption case

A Dhaka court has showed former state minister for post, telecommunication, and information technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and Safi Muddassir Khan Jyoti, son of former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, in a corruption case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the orders when police produced them before the court and pleaded to show them arrested in the case on Monday (January 6).

Lawyer Farzana Yeasmin Rakhi moved for Palak while ACC prosecutor Mahmud Hossain Jahangir opposed the bail plea.

Earlier, Zunaid Ahmed Palak was arrested from the capital's Nikunja Residential Area on 14 August, while Jyoti was arrested from a house in the capital's Uttara area on 13 September.
