Bank accounts of Hasina-Rehana family members summoned

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) of Bangladesh Bank has summoned the bank account details of seven persons including the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana.

The organization sent instructions to banks and financial institutions to get details of their financial transactions.

Sources from the BFIU confirmed the matter on Tuesday (January 7).

The request includes bank account details of Sheikh Hasina's daughter, Saima Wazed (Putul), son Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed (Joy), Sheikh Rehana's son Radwan Mujib Siddiq (Bobby), and daughters Tulip Rizwana Siddiq and Azmina Siddiq.
