Arrested former OC flees police station 

Shah Alam, the former officer-in-charge (OC) of Uttara Purba Police Station, who was arrested in a murder case during the anti-discrimination movement, has fled the police station.

This information was known on Thursday (January 9) night.

Police said that he was arrested on Wednesday (January 8) night. 

He was supposed to be produced before the court on Thursday. Before that, Shah Alam fled the police station at 12pm. 

The police could not arrest Shah Alam till report was filed at night. 

Meanwhile, an SI has been suspended over the incident.
