Tejgaon truck stand fire under control

A fire that broke out at Tejgaon truck stand in the capital around 8 am has been brought under control. Three firefighting units doused the blaze after one hour of frantic efforts.

The blaze was brought under control at 9 am on Sunday (January 12).

On information, three firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after one hour of frantic efforts, said Shahjahan Sikder, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters.

Six trucks have been gutted in the fire, he said.

The reason behind the fire and extent of damages caused by the fire could not be known immediately.
