JnU students leave Secretariat area

Jagannath University (JnU) students left the Secretariat area on Monday evening. But their ‘campus shutdown’ program will continue to press home three demands.  

Earlier, a procession of Jagannath University (JnU) students reached the Secretariat to besiege it to press home three demands.

They started from the university’s main gate at around 4:00pm on Monday.

Earlier, they went on ‘campus shutdown’ after a 24-hour hunger strike to press home their three-point demand.

They also locked the main entrance gate of the university on Monday morning, failing to yield a response.

One of their demands is the construction work of the university's second campus to be handed over to the army.
