4 reform commissions to submit reports today

Four commissions out of six formed over making reforms will submit their respective reports to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today.

Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam confirmed the information in a press conference held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Tuesday (January 14) evening.

“After handing over the reports, there will be a discussion that is expected to continue till 1:30 pm, while members of the four commissions will share the elaborate description of their findings and recommendations,” Shafiqul Alam said.
 
After the meetings with the Chief Adviser, the media will be briefed at the Foreign Service Academy at 3 pm today, he said, adding that they are not sure yet who among the advisers will brief the media.

The six reform commissions are the Electoral System Reform Commission headed by Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, the Police Administration Reform Commission headed by Sarfaraz Hossain, the Judiciary Reform Commission headed by Justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rahman, Anti-Corruption Reform Commission headed by TIB’s Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Public Administration Reform Commission headed by Abdul Mueed Chowdhury, and Constitution Reform Commission headed by Distinguished Prof at Illinois State University Dr Ali Riaz.
