Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul has said that trial of all committed crimes during the July Uprising by the Sheikh Hasina-led government may end before the national election.

The four reform commissions’ reports, with specific recommendations for state reforms, were submitted to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.

On the occasion, a press conference was held on Wednesday at the Foreign Service Academy.

Asif Nazrul said, “Minimum reforms will be identified based on the proposals of the Reform Commissions.”

Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan has said the interim government is hopeful to initiate formal talks with political parties next month for reaching a consensus on reform agenda.

“We are in a sort of dialogue already with the political parties as they have submitted their written proposal on reforms,” she noted.

Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain and Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam also spoke at the press briefing.
