22,000 MT of Atap rice arrives from Myanmar

A shipment of 22,000 metric tonnes of Atap rice from Myanmar has arrived at Chattogram Port.

Carrying the rice, a ship named MV Golden Star reached the port, said a notification on Friday (January 17).

This is the first time rice has been imported from Myanmar during the interim government's tenure.

The unloading process of the rice will begin soon after collecting samples and conducting physical tests.
