Court directive to attach Nafeez Sarafat’s flats in Dubai

A Dhaka court has ordered the authorities concerned to attach two flats in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), owned by former chairman of Padma Bank Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Wednesday, allowing a plea filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
ACC Prosecutor Advocate Mir Ahmed Ali Salam confirmed the matter.
Investigation officer ACC deputy commissioner Masudur Rahman filed the plea before the court.
The court on January 7, ordered the authorities concerned to attach different properties, including 18 flats of Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, his wife Anjuman Ara Shahid and son Chowdhury Rahib Sarafat.
