‘Evidence of gunfire from RAB helicopter during uprising found’

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) said the evidence of firing from a helicopter of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) was found during the anti-discrimination student movement in July and August.

Chief Prosecutor of the ICT Muhammad Tajul Islam revealed the matter on Sunday noon (January 26).

He said that the then Director General of RAB, Harun Or Rashid, ordered the shooting.

The tribunal so far issued arrest warrants against 96 people in cases filed over crimes against humanity. Among them, the number of former ministers, Awami League leaders and police officers is high, he added.
