Some Indian nationals crossed the international border and hacked a man to death with sharp weapons.
The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has tried to hold talks with the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in this regard, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Rafiqul Alam.
At a regular weekly briefing on Monday (January 27), the foreign ministry spokesperson said, "We are investigating this matter. We have learnt that the matter is like a family dispute. However, there is a border violation here and the BGB has tried to hold talks with the BSF. We do not have any more detailed information."
Rafiqul Alam said that the relevant wing of the foreign ministry is investigating this matter.
The murder took place on Sunday (January 26) afternoon at the Murichhara border of Karmadha Union in Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar.
The deceased, Ahad Ali, was the son of Yusuf Ali of the area.
