Police to resist BCL program: DMP Commissioner

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali said that if the banned Chhatra League tries to observe any program in February month, then the law enforcers will resist them.

He said this while addressing reporters after visiting security measures at the Ekushey Book Fair on Friday (January 31).

DMP Commissioner said we have arrested many leaders of the banned Chhatra League. If they take steps to organize any program, we will definitely take action.

In reply to a question, he said centering the book fair, some writers or publishers publish provocative books every year. We have held a few coordination meetings. We have told the Bangla Academy officials that no provocative books should be brought to the fair. They should scan the books before sending them to the fair.
