Enamur Rahman denied bail, sent to jail

A Dhaka court has sent former state minister for disaster management and relief affairs Enamur Rahman to jail after his bail was denied on completion of six-day remand in a murder case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifuzzaman passed the order on Sunday (February 2).
Earlier, Mirpur Model police station Sub-Inspector Md Moniruzzaman also the Investigation Officer in the case produced him before the court and pleaded to keep him behind the bars.
Police arrested the former state minister from the city’s Vatara area on January 26.
According to the case documents, a certain Sagar was shot to death during the movement of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in the city’s Mirpur area on 19 July. His mother Beauty Akter filed the murder case.
