Injured protesters from the July mass uprising ended their demonstration and left the Chief Adviser’s residence, Jamuna, in the capital after receiving assurances that their demands would be met.
The protesters left the premises and returned to the hospital around 2:00 am when Hasnath Abdullah assured them.
Aiming the protesters, Hasnath Abdullah said we wanted the country to run smoothly. That's why we brought the honest advisers. But we didn't understand that the honest advisers would be so dependent on bureaucracy.
He said he would discuss with the government regarding the demands of the injured protester. These demands will be met only by the interim government, not by any other government.
Earlier, those injured in the July-August mass uprising are staging a sit-in programme on a road in the capital’s Agargaon, demanding immediate access to better medical treatment, compensation and state recognition.
