Heavy fog: Dhaka-bound flights diverted to Kolkata

Due to dense fog, three international flights were unable to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and were instead diverted to Kolkata, India.
Airport authority said three flights of Kuwait Airways and Salam Air flights from Kuwait City and Muscat Air landed in Kolkata and then returned to Dhaka after 9 am.
Executive director of Shahjalal airport Group Captain Mohammad Kamrul Islam said the flight operations are normal now.
A total of 16 flights failed to land in Dhaka in scheduled time due to heavy fog from yesterday night.
