Ex-Sirajganj MP Abdul Aziz arrested in Dhaka

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested former Sirajganj-3 MP Md Abdul Aziz in Dhaka’s Kalabagan area early Tuesday (January 4).

He was arrested in a case filed over attempted murder in Sirajganj's Tarash upazila.

Confirming the matter, Lieutenant Colonel Munim Ferdous, director of RAB's Legal and Media Wing said the arrestee will be produced concerned police station.

In the July-August student uprising, the law and order situation deteriorated in Tarash, Sirajganj and its surrounding areas. Several people faced murder attempts. Later, the victims filed a case at Tarash Police Station in these incidents. The former MP was made an accused in the cases.
