50 lakh new voters 

Field-level officials have collected data on 49,70,388 eligible voters as of Monday (February 3) during the door-to-door data collection campaign.

Election Commission Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed disclosed this at a press briefing on updating the voter list at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city's Agargaon on Tuesday.

Additionally, data on 15.23 lakh deceased voters had been collected, and their names would be removed from the final voter list, he said.

He stated that 16 lakh women have registered this time, and those previously excluded will also be included in the ongoing program. 

Registration will continue until April 11, he added.
