Malaysia deports 278 migrants, including 23 Bangladeshis

Malaysia has repatriated 278 foreign nationals, including 23 Bangladeshi nationals after they completed their prison sentences for various offenses.

Malaysia’s state Johor immigration department on Sunday (February 9) said they were deported after serving sentences for violating immigration laws.

The deportees included 23 Bangladeshis, 230 Indonesians, 17 Pakistanis, 6 Indians, one Sri Lankan, and one Singapore national.

The Malaysian Immigration Department said the deported migrants have been blacklisted so that they cannot enter Malaysia in the future.
