Former Habiganj MP Abdul Majid arrested in Dhaka

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested former Member of Parliament (MP) for Habiganj-2, Abdul Majid Khan, in the Farmgate area of Dhaka.

He was arrested on Monday night (February 10).

Rezaul Karim Mallick, Additional Police Commissioner (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police said that Abdul Majid was arrested in connection with a case filed in Habiganj related to casualties during an anti-discrimination student movement.

Legal steps are being taken against him, he added.
