There are various versions of Aynaghor across country: CA

Chief Adviser (CA) of the interim government Professor Muhammad Yunus today visited three locations of Aynaghor in Dhaka, previously used as torture cells and secret prisons.

Members of advisory council, members of the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances, victims, local and international media personnel accompanied him during the visit to the spots located in Dhaka’s Agargaon, Kachukhet and Uttara areas.

After visiting spots of Aynaghor, the Chief Adviser said, “Not only in Dhaka, there are various versions of torture cells like Aynaghor across the country.”

Regarding the number of Aynaghor, he said, “Some say 700, some say 800. The number has not been determined, how many there are. How much is known, how much remains unknown.”
