Vasa on arrival within 10 minutes:  Home Adviser

Home Adviser Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) has inaugurated the Online App for Visa on Arrival (VoA) or Transit Visa application for foreign nationals in a bid to simplify the issuance of visas. 

Speaking at the inaugural function at the Secretariat on Thursday, the home adviser said, “Earlier it required about 40 minutes to one hour to get visa on arrival but with the new application foreigners from now on get the visa within five to 10 minutes. 

To get the facility, the foreign citizen will have to file an application giving their necessary information using the online app, he said, adding that after completion of the process, they will get a code.

"They will get an on-arrival visa to Bangladesh after showing the code and paying the money (the visa processing fee) in dollars. The foreigners will get an arrival visa for 30 days," he said. 

The foreigners can pay the money both in cash and card, he said.
