Fireworks, explosives banned during Shab-e-Barat

Dhaka Metropolitan Police has banned using all sorts of firecrackers and other explosives in the capital during the Shab-e-Barat.
A press release signed by DMP Commissioner Md Sazzat Ali said this on Thursday.
The 12-hour restriction will come into effect from 6pm on Friday and remain in force until 6am on Saturday. The restrictions have been imposed in accordance with the Section 28 of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance-1976.
The holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune, will be observed throughout the country Friday night with due religious fervour and devotion.
