Metro rail sets new record of 4 lakh passengers

Metro Rail has set a new record by transporting over 4,00,000 passengers in a single day, according to Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).
DMTCL, the operator of the Metro Rail, shared the information in a post on its verified Facebook page around 11 pm on Friday (February 14).
Metro Rail transported 403,164 passengers for the first time.
The Metro Rail family extended heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all its employees, esteemed passengers, supporters, and stakeholders for achieving this milestone, reads the post.
Earlier on February 3, Dhaka Metro Rail achieved a new milestone by transporting a record 3,82,000 passengers in a single day.
Currently, the Metro Rail’s MRT Line-6 is operating in both directions between Uttara and Motijheel.
