Pickup hits covered van, 6 killed 

At least six construction workers were killed as a pickup van hit a covered van on Monday evening in Feni.

Some of the injured have been sent to Feni General Hospital. 

The accident occurred at around 7:15 pm in the South Maizbaria Hafezi Madrasa area on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway. 

Bogdadia police outpost in-charge Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter. 

The names and identities of the deceased were not immediately known.

According to eyewitnesses, a pickup van carrying construction workers  was heading towards Feni. When it reached the Hafezi Madrasa area, a covered van hit the pickup van from behind. Five people were killed on the spot. Locals rescued some of the seriously injured and took them to Feni General Hospital. Later, one died there.
