Kamal Mojumder remanded for 5 days

A Dhaka court has placed former minister Kamal Ahmed Mojumder on a five-day remand in connection with a murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate M A Azharul Islam passed the remand order on Wednesday (February 19).

Earlier investigation officer CID Inspector Nasir Uddin Sarker produced him before the court seeking remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan public prosecutor Omar Faruk Faruki moved for the petitioner for the remand.

On August 5, Anwar Hossain Patwari was shot dead during the fall of the Awami League government. Later, the victim’s father Al Amin Patwari filed the murder case with the Mirpur Model police station.
