On Monday (February 17), on Road No. 9 of Sector No. 7 at Uttara in Dhaka, around 9 pm, members of an organized terrorist gang publicly hacked the couple- Md. Mehebul Hasan and his wife Nasrin Akhter Ifti- with sharp weapons.
According to the case statement, Mehebul Hasan and Ifti were returning from shopping at Amir Complex at Uttara. When they reached house number 10 on road number 9 in Sector 7 of Uttara, two motorcycles were passing by them with rough riding. One of their motorcycles hit a rickshaw at the intersection in front of them.
A four-year child and their parents were injured in the incident. The couple protested the matter. At one stage, the motorcyclists called more of their members over mobile phone and hacked the couple.
