Court orders to seize 130 bighas of land of DB Harun, his brother

A Dhaka court has ordered to seize 130 bighas of land belonging to former Chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Harun or Rashid and his brother ABM Shahriar.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Wednesday.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) presented an application in this regard to the court.

The court also ordered the freezing of 10 bank accounts of Harun and 11 bank accounts of Shahriar.

Of the land, 100 bighas belong to Harun and 30 bighas to his brother  Shahriar, according to the court sources.
