Risingbd’s Mostafijur Rahman gets award

S.M. Mostafijur Rahman, a journalist of the English department of risingbd.com, has got the first prize in the drone video category of the competition and exhibition on ‘July Uprising in Photography’ organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Information and Broadcasting Ministry Adviser Md Nahid Islam handed over the award at a ceremony held at the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) on Wednesday (February 19).

Mostafijur Rahman received one lakh taka, a memento and a certificate as the first prize winner.

PIB Director General Faruk Wasif, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Mahbuba Farzana and other senior officers were also present at the event.

Mostafijur Rahman has won several awards including Nature Conservancy-2023, Royal Society of Biology, SPIE International Photo Contest-2024, UNESCO International Center for TVET Germany.

In addition, his photographs have been published in local and foreign media, including National Geography Magazine.
