RAB to ensure tight security during Ekushey February

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has taken necessary security measures across Bangladesh for the smooth and peaceful observance of Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day.

A notification from the RAB headquarters on Thursday (February 20) said that discussions, offering flowers ceremony, and cultural programs have been organized at the Central Shaheed Minar and other Shaheed Minars to mark the great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day.

After coordinating with other law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, and local administration, RAB strengthened security on February 21 by reviewing all types of risks.

Bangladesh observes "Amar Ekushey" – Language Martyrs Day (Shaheed Day) and International Mother Language Day – on February 21 every year to mark the supreme sacrifice of language heroes for upholding the right to speak their mother tongue Bangla.
