Voluntary imprisonment if Azhar not released: Jamaat

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced voluntarily imprison from the court premises on February 25 if their party’s Assistant Secretary General ATM Azharul Islam is not released.
On Thursday, the Jamaat Ameer asked its party activists to present on the court premises on the day.
Dr Shafiqur expressed his frustration over the repeated delays in granting bail to Azharul Islam, who remains confined despite the release of other national leaders.
He said, “Dear countrymen. You must have noticed that ATM Azharul Islam, a victim of brutal fascist oppression, is still in prison,” Shafiqur said.
“On February 25, I will present myself in court to be arrested in protest of this injustice and to demand Azharul Islam’s release,” he added.
