Khilgaon sawmill catches fire 

A fire broke out at a sawmill near the Taltala market in the capital’s Khilgaon area on Friday evening.

The fire originated at around 7: 30pm.

Being informed, 10 units of fire service rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire.

Rashed Bin Khaled, duty officer at the fire service control room, said, “We received the information at around 7:30 pm that a fire broke out in a two-storey sawmill in Khilgaon. Following this news, two units of the fire service were first sent and later eight units were sent.” 

He could not initially provide any information about the cause of the fire or casualties.
