Fire at Korail slum

A fire broke out at Korail slum in Dhaka’s Banani area.

The fire originated at 12:45 am on Saturday (February 22).

On information, ten firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 1:35 am.

Rakibul Hasan, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters, confirmed the information.

The reason behind the fire and extent of the damage could not be known immediately.
