4 DIGs sent into forced retirement

Four deputy inspector generals (DIGs) of police have been sent into forced retirement in the latest move to overhaul the administrative sector.
This was confirmed on Sunday (February 23) in a notification signed by Home Ministry Senior Secretary Nasimul Gani.
The DIGs would enjoy retirement benefits as per provisions, the notification read.
The DIGs who were sent into forced retirement are Anti-Terrorism Unit DIG Md Nisharul Arif, River Police DIG Md Abdul Quddus Amin, Highway Police DIG Md Azad Mia, and Amena Begum.
