‘AL cohorts trying to destabilize country’

Home Adviser Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said the cohorts of the Awami League (AL) are trying to destabilize the country.

The Home Affairs Adviser made the remark at an emergency press conference on the law and order situation in the country at his Baridhara DOHS residence here around 3 am on Monday (February 24).

“Awami League’s cohorts are trying to make unstable the country, bringing back the money siphoned off from the country. They are investing a lot of money to destabilize the country. They will in no way be spared. They will be prevented with iron hand,” Jahangir Alam said.

Stating that the law enforcement agencies have been instructed to increase patrol activities, the adviser said that from tomorrow (Monday), they will take measures to ensure that no crime occurs anywhere.

He further said, “Law enforcement agencies will soon bring the perpetrators to justice.”
