Court freezes 68 bank accounts of ex-MP Henry

A Dhaka court has ordered to freeze 68 bank accounts with Taka 20.62 crore of former Sirajganj-2 lawmaker Mst Jannat Ara Henry over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Monday.
Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Asif Al Mahmud filed the plea before the court.
The ACC on December 22, 2024, filed two cases against Henry and her husband Shamim Talukder.
She was shown arrested in the case on January 6 and was sent to jail.
