Abrar’s murder convict not in jail

Muntasir Al Jemi, the convict in the murder case of BUET student Abrar Fahad, has escaped the jail.

Although the incident happened after August 5, the matter was reported on Monday after 6 months, claimed Abrar Fahad’s younger brother and BUET student Abrar Faiaz. 

He confirmed this information in a Facebook post on Monday (February 24) evening. 

He wrote, “Jemi, who was sentenced to death for the murder of Abrar Fahad, escaped the jail after August 5. However, we are being informed today, when his lawyer did not come to present any argument. The convict was supposed to be in a condemnation cell, how he escaped! The fact that this information did not come out even after his escape proves that no attempt was made to catch him. There are 3 more absconding people already.”

He also gave the name and address of the convict in the post.
