Md. Nahid Islam has spoken to the media after resigning from the post of adviser to the interim government.
He said, “I have resigned with the aim of working on the fields to implement the purposes of the mass uprising.”
“I thought that my role on the streets outside the government will strengthen mass uprising’s power”, said Nahid Islam.
“In six months I performed duties in the two ministries. Six months is a very short time. But I tried. The people will evaluate the work”, he said.
In response to questions from journalists, Nahid Islam said, “I intend to participate in a new political party.”
Earlier, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam resigned from the advisory council of the interim government.
He submitted his resignation on Tuesday noon (February 25).
