Controversial elections:  82 police officers made OSD

A total of 82 police officers have been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for their roles in the controversial national elections.

Among those made OSD are one Additional IGP, 13 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), 49 Additional DIGs, and 19 Superintendents of Police.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued three separate notifications on Tuesday in this regard.

A source in the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the officers in question played roles in the controversial 2018 national elections.
