Moon sighting committee to fix Ramadan date Saturday

The National Moon Sighting Committee will hold a meeting on Saturday evening to review the information on the appearance of the new moon for Ramadan 1446 Hijri.

The meeting will determine the start date of the holy month. Later, the government will announce the date officially.

The meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation Conference Room in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain will preside over the meeting.

People are requested to inform the committee on phone or by SMS if the moon is seen anywhere across the country.
