‘Operation Devil Hunt’: 618 arrested in 24 hours  

The joint forces arrested 618 more suspects under the nationwide ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ in the last 24 hours till Friday.

A police headquarters statement said this on Friday.  

On the 21th day of the crackdown, a total of 1414 persons were apprehended. Of them, 786 were netted under the ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ and 914 others for previous cases and warrants.       

During the operation, the forces seized one LG, one cartridge and several matches. 

With the latest figure, a total of 12,231 suspects were taken into custody since the start of crackdown.

It begun on February 8 last following a terror attack on the student-people in Gazipur district.
