Bangabandhu Satellite renamed Bangladesh Satellite

The interim government has renamed the ‘Bangabandhu Satellite-1’ to ‘Bangladesh Satellite-1’ (BS-1).

The Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministry issued a circular in this regard on Monday (March 3).

The decision came into effect on 23 February following the approval of a proposal in this regard from Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus recently.

The ministry asked authorities concerned to take further necessary action in this regard.
