Ministry of Home Affairs issues warning on mob violence

The Ministry of Home Affairs has warned everyone to refrain from taking the law into their own hands by creating mobs.
A notification signed by home ministry public relations officer (director) Faisal Hasan confirmed the matter on Tuesday (March 4).
This statement follows the recent assault of Sub-Inspector (SI) Yusuf Ali, who was attacked by a mob while on duty at a checkpost on Patenga Outer Ring Road in Chittagong city.
The incident, which occurred on February 28, saw two individuals arrested promptly for initiating the mob.
The police, alongside local residents, successfully rescued SI Yusuf Ali during the chaos.
Following the incident, police conducted an operation on March 1 and arrested 10 more individuals, bringing the total number of arrests to 12.
