Sadeeq Agro Chairman Imran sent to jail

A Dhaka court has directed to send Sadeeq Agro Chairman Imran Hossain to jail in a money laundering case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam passed the order on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested Sadeeq Agro Chairman Imran Hossain on charges of laundering Tk 133 crore. 

Earlier, the CID filed a case against Sadeeq Agro owner Imran Hossain, Touhidul Alam Zenith and the accused company Sadeeq Agro on charges of laundering Tk 133 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Rules.
