Sadeeq Agro Chairman Imran laundered Tk 86 lakh: CID

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has described the activities of Sadeeq Agro Chairman Md. Imran Hossain, also one of the accused in the goat scandal.

DIG Ekramul Habib informed this at a press conference at its Malibagh head office on Tuesday.

CID has found evidence that Imran laundered Tk 86 lakh, the press conference was told.

Earlier, a Dhaka court directed to send  Imran Hossain to jail in a money laundering case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam passed the order on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested Sadeeq Agro Chairman Imran Hossain on charges of laundering Tk 133 crore. 

Earlier, the CID filed a case against Sadeeq Agro owner Imran Hossain, Touhidul Alam Zenith and the accused company Sadeeq Agro on charges of laundering Tk 133 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Rules.
