37,000 tonnes of rice arrive from India, Pakistan

Two consignments of 26,250 metric tonnes of Pakistani rice and 11,000 metric tonnes of Indian rice have arrived at Chattogram Port.
A press release of the Food Ministry informed this on Wednesday.
The Pakistani vessel named ‘MV SIBI’ with 26,250 metric tonnes (MT) of rice under the Government-to-Government (G2G) deal and Indian vessel named ‘MV HT UNITE’ anchored at Chattogram Port on Wednesday morning.
Necessary measures have been taken to ensure that the unloading activities will begin today (Wednesday) after testing the samples of rice stored on the two ships, the press release added.
