Bhashantek BRP slum fire under control

A fire that broke out at the BRP slum in the city’s Bhashantek area was brought under control.
The fire originated in the slum at 11:05 am on Thursday (March 6).
On information, five firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 11:35am with half an hour intense efforts, Lima Khanom, duty officer (control room) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters told risingbd.com.
No causalities were reported in this fire incident.
The cause of the fire and extent of damage could not be ascertained immediately.
